Specification: A white or almost white powder, stinkless, bitter an hygroscopic, freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol, insoluble in acetone, ether, ect. Its free base in slightly soluble in water. Stable under PH value 3-7.5.

Usage: Colistin sulphate is an antibiotic of basic polypeptides composed by various amino acids and fatty acids. It has strong antibiotic effect against intestinal diseases caused by gram-negative bacilli. It is used as feed addictive and also has some growth-promoting effect.
